His melodies go straight to the heart – and to the legs… Fresh melodic ideas, rhythmic drive and tremendous dynamics and precision are Ryan’s trademarks. His sound and style are simply unique and his interpretations captivating – his playing is often described as poetry without words and has earned him international acclaim and praise.
The band Blackthorn has been in existence for a long number of years, having formed in late 70’s. Through various line up changes the band is still going strong. Blackthorn has had two different singles in the Irish Charts, ‘A Children’s Winter’ and ‘Flower of Scotland’.
